Jah Rasta

 James Steptoe - Jah Rasta was born in the big city of Houston Texas, working hard for the opportunity for his voice to be heard. He found himself a great opportunity with a two-year scholarship running track at Academy of Art University in San Francisco studying Music Production and Sound Design for visual media. Once he was in San Francisco he realized his dreams were in reach, and with a lot of hard work and self-discipline he could reach any goal he set his mind to. Advancing his studies James opened up studying Professional Photography at Austin Community College. He combined his audio production talent with professional photography picking up the camera and taking advantage of both audio and visual skills. James currently is aims to reach closer to his lifelong dream of giving hope back to others. Intergrading the studies of sound healing therapy, he now pushes to help liberate others from disease within the body.  Guide and aid one other to the great power with everyone.

 James says his inspiration comes from living the healthiest life everyday, and being aware of his infinite possibilities . He says, “his biggest inspiration comes from his childhood, and remembering what it was like to grow up.” When he sees himself in a moment with video and audio production for a movie or commercial he sees himself in everything, teaching, moving in action, or learning. 

When not dealing with production James like to be productive with his life dedicating time to what he values most. He values family, spending time with who he loves,gardening fruits and vestibules, and take long runs enjoying the beautiful scene. He also likes his personal space always needing some alone time so he can stay focused on his goals.

In the future, James looks forward to expanding his skills and doing much more the audio, photography and video production. He would like to open his life to different types of art, and be as adventurous as life will allow him to be. Currently, he creates as much audio and visual work,and looks forward to working with as many artists as possible.
